StreamDelta

Enum StreamDelta

Source
#[non_exhaustive]
pub enum StreamDelta { Text(String), Reasoning(String), }
Expand description

One piece of a streamed model reply, delivered as it arrives.

The client passes each piece to the caller’s callback as soon as it decodes the piece from the stream. Answer text and reasoning arrive as separate variants, so a caller can show them differently.

The client buffers tool-call fragments until the whole batch of tool calls is complete and validated. They appear only in the finished completion.

Variants (Non-exhaustive)§

This enum is marked as non-exhaustive
Non-exhaustive enums could have additional variants added in future. Therefore, when matching against variants of non-exhaustive enums, an extra wildcard arm must be added to account for any future variants.
§

Text(String)

A fragment of the assistant’s answer text.

§

Reasoning(String)

A fragment of the model’s reasoning text. It stays separate from the answer.
